Prohibited content for SMS campaigns

The following types of products and content are not permitted for SMS marketing through Firepush. These restrictions are required by carriers, regulators, and our SMS providers to ensure TCPA compliance.

Age-restricted products

  • Alcoholic beverages
  • Tobacco products
  • Vaping products and e-cigarettes
  • CBD products (unless FDA approved)
  • Cannabis and THC products (any form)
  • Adult content and services

Firearms and ammunition

  • Guns, rifles, and firearms
  • Ammunition
  • Firearm accessories and parts

Regulated and high-risk categories

  • Prescription drugs and controlled substances
  • Gambling and lottery (unless licensed)
  • Debt collection
  • Payday loans
  • Cryptocurrency and investment schemes
  • Multi-level marketing (MLM)

Prohibited message content

  • Deceptive or misleading claims
  • Phishing or fraudulent content
  • Content that violates intellectual property rights
  • Hate speech or discriminatory content

What happens if prohibited content is detected?

Firepush uses automated content review to detect spam and prohibited content. If flagged, your campaign may be paused and your account's SMS approval may be revoked until reviewed by our team.
