Installing Firepush on your Shopify store takes just a few minutes. Here's how to get started.
Step 1: Install from the Shopify App Store
- Visit the Firepush listing on the Shopify App Store
- Click the "Install" button
- Review the requested permissions and click "Install app" to authorize
You will be redirected to the Firepush dashboard inside your Shopify admin.
Step 2: Enable the Firepush app embed
For Firepush to work on your storefront (collecting subscribers and showing sign-up boxes), the app embed must be enabled in your Shopify theme:
- In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes
- Click "Customize" on your active theme
- Go to App embeds (in the left sidebar)
- Toggle Firepush to enabled
- Click Save
Step 3: Configure your first notifications
Once installed, you can start setting up your push notifications from the Firepush dashboard:
- Enable Welcome Push notifications to start collecting subscribers automatically
- Set up Abandoned Cart reminders to recover lost sales
- Configure Promotional Pushes to send offers to your subscribers
Requirements
- An active Shopify store
- SSL certificate enabled (all Shopify stores have this by default)
- Store password protection removed (so customers can visit and subscribe)
What happens after installation?
Firepush automatically integrates with your Shopify store. The embed script loads asynchronously so it will not slow down your website. You can start collecting push notification subscribers immediately and set up SMS marketing after completing TCPA compliance verification.
