Price drop push notifications are sent to customers who have opted in to receive alerts about specific products. When you reduce the price of a product in your Shopify store, Firepush automatically notifies interested subscribers — making these one of the highest-converting notification types.
How it works
- A sign-up box appears on your product pages, allowing customers to subscribe to price drop alerts for specific products
- When you lower a product's price in Shopify, Firepush detects the change automatically via Shopify webhooks
- All subscribers who opted in for that product receive an instant push notification about the price drop
Price drop notifications are one-time — after a customer receives an alert, they would need to subscribe again to get future notifications for the same product.
Multi-currency support
Firepush stores each subscriber's currency at the time they subscribe. Price comparisons and notification messages are shown in the customer's own currency, so the alert feels personalized and relevant.
Message personalization
Price drop notifications automatically include product and pricing details:
- [product] — the product name
- [discount] — the percentage decrease (e.g. "15%")
- [old_price] — the previous price in customer's currency
- [new_price] — the new lower price in customer's currency
- [saving] — the amount saved (e.g. "€127.00")
- [shop] — your store name
