SMS pricing in Firepush is based on credits that you purchase separately from your push notification plan.
How SMS credits work
- Credits are purchased at a 1:1 dollar-to-credit ratio — $10 purchase = $10 in credits
- Credits are available in amounts from $10 up to $5,000
- Credits never expire and carry over between billing cycles
- SMS is only available on Basic and Pro plans

Cost per SMS
The cost per SMS depends on the destination country. Examples:
- United States — $0.0079 per SMS segment
- Canada — $0.0075 per SMS segment
- Other countries vary — see the full pricing list on our pricing page or in your Firepush dashboard under Plans
Message segments
Firepush uses GSM 7-bit encoding for SMS messages:
- A single SMS segment is 160 characters
- Longer messages are split into multiple segments of 153 characters each
- Each segment is billed separately
Special characters and emojis are not supported and will be automatically removed before sending. Learn how to create effective SMS campaigns that stay within one segment.
Cost estimation
When creating an SMS campaign, Firepush shows you an estimated cost before you send, based on the number of recipients in your selected segment and the message length. This helps you stay in control of your spending.
Capped amount
Your Shopify subscription includes a monthly budget cap that limits total spending. You can adjust this cap in your plan settings to control how much you spend on SMS credits each month.
