How to remove service worker from your browser

If you need to remove the Firepush service worker from your browser for testing or troubleshooting, follow the steps for your browser below.

Chrome / Edge

1. Open your store in the browser
2. Press F12 to open Developer Tools
3. Go to the Application tab
4. In the left sidebar, click Service Workers
5. Find the Firepush service worker and click Unregister

Firefox

1. Type about:debugging#/runtime/this-firefox in the address bar
2. Scroll down to Service Workers
3. Find the service worker for your store domain
4. Click Unregister

After removing

Once the service worker is removed, visit your store again. If Firepush is still installed, the service worker will be re-registered automatically and you will see the push notification prompt again.

This is useful for testing the opt-in experience as if you were a new visitor.
