What are promotional push campaigns?
Promotional push notifications (also called push campaigns) let you send one-time messages to all your push subscribers at once. They are one of the most effective tools for driving sales — use them to announce flash sales, new arrivals, discount codes, and more.
When to use campaigns vs automations
- Use campaigns when you want to send a single message to all subscribers at a specific time (e.g., flash sale, new product launch, holiday promotion)
- Use automations when you want to send personalized messages triggered by customer actions (e.g., abandoned cart, price drops, back in stock)
Who receives your campaign?
Your campaign is sent to all active web push subscribers. Before sending, Firepush shows you the estimated number of recipients based on your current subscriber count.

What you can customize
- Title — the headline of your notification (max 50 characters)
- Description — the message body (max 100 characters)
- Icon — your notification icon (192x192px recommended)
- Hero image — a larger image displayed in the notification (840x440px recommended)
- CTA buttons — up to 2 call-to-action buttons with custom text and links
- Landing URL — where the customer goes when they click the notification

Personalization
You can use the [shop] variable in your push campaign title and description to automatically insert your store name. Learn more about message variables
Note: Since promo pushes are sent to all subscribers at once, individual customer variables like name, product, or price are not available. For personalized messages based on customer actions, use automated push notifications instead.
Scheduling
You can send a promo push immediately or schedule it for a specific date and time. Firepush also supports recurring campaigns — set up a push once and have it repeat automatically at your chosen frequency (daily, weekly, monthly).
Push limits
Your monthly push limit depends on your Firepush plan. The app shows your remaining pushes before you send. If you reach your limit, campaigns are paused until your next billing cycle or you can upgrade your plan. Learn what happens when you reach your push limit
Browser support
Web push notifications work on most modern browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Safari. See full list of supported browsers

Performance tracking
Firepush tracks every push campaign and gives you a detailed breakdown of:
- Sent — how many notifications were delivered
- Clicks — how many subscribers clicked your notification
- Orders — purchases attributed to your campaign
- Revenue — total sales generated

Tips for success
- Send promo pushes regularly to keep your subscribers engaged (but not too often — 2-4 per week is ideal)
- Keep the title short, clear, and attention-grabbing
- Include a clear call-to-action ("Shop Now", "Get 20% Off", etc.)
- Use hero images to make your notifications stand out
- Test different messages and timing to see what works best
- Avoid sending at odd hours — mid-morning and early afternoon typically perform best
- Create a sense of urgency with limited-time offers
- Use the countdown timer feature to add urgency with discount codes
